Cheer fund on R46 698; two weeks left to make a difference

Please help raise much-needed funds for our four-legged friends at the Boksburg SPCA.

The festive season may have come and gone but there are still animals behind bars that we tend to forget about.

The Boksburg SPCA finds its kennels overwhelmed during the Christmas/January period and thus the Advertiser is once again assisting with the fund-raising drive.

The purpose of the Christmas Cheer Fund is to raise funds to cater for all the furry critters that need to be fed and to give some treats to all the unfortunate pets behind bars.

The community is encouraged to get involved by honouring past and present pets by pledging donations – no amount is too small – at the society’s premises, in Railway Street, Boksburg, or by depositing it into the bank account: Boksburg SPCA, Absa Bank, Eastlands Branch 630442, account number 4046388139

Beneficiary reference: Christmas Cheer and your name/anonymous (it is very important that it be indicated that the payment is for the Christmas Cheer Fund).

Fax a copy of your proof of payment, including your optional short message, to the Boksburg SPCA on 011 916 5908 or email it to [email protected]

Also email the proof of payment, with your short message, to [email protected], so that every sponsor (whether it be an individual, school, organisation or a business) can be recognised in the Advertiser.

The Cheer Fund will be running until the end of January.

For more information regarding the fund, contact the SPCA on 011 916 5906/7 or the Advertiser on 087 285 6458.

The Boksburg SPCA thanks the following individuals, companies and organisations for their contribution to the Christmas Cheer Fund:

* Doris Coertzen: R100; Love you all.

* Andy and Jenny: R50; For all the animals. In memory of MacGyver and Louise.
