Good Samaritans come to the rescue of House of Mercy

Members of the St Dominics Catholic Church under the Legion of Mary who donated to House of Mercy. With them are staff members of House of Mercy.

Some of the donors who responded to the call were members of the St Dominic’s Catholic Church under the Legion of Mary.

The church donated pots, sheets, table cloths, toiletries, cleaning materials and clothes to the centre.

Denise Fulton from the Legion of Mary, said: “After seeing the centres wish list in the Advertiser, we saw it fit to assist wherever we can.

“We then asked members of our church to make donations of money and we then took the money and brought the essential items needed by the centre.”

Monica Mashiane, director of the centre, expressed her joy for the efforts made by the public in assisting them.

“We thank everyone who responded to the call after seeing the wish list. Everyone who has donated has really made a difference to our centre and we appreciate their efforts,” Mashiane said.

Anyone who would like to donate may contact Monica Mashiane, on 011 894 4050/2 or email
