Their courts were abuzz with activity every Tuesday and Thursday and hard work and dedication paid off and were clearly reflected in their league positions.

The u-11A and B teams both finished at the top of the pool, remaining undefeated this year.

They were also able to field C teams this year and managed to arrange some tournaments and friendly matches, which were equally as successful.

St Dominic’s congratulates the three age groups who made it through to the District 13 playoffs.

This was a new record for St Dominic’s.

The u-10A team made it through to the second round of play-offs, before being knocked out.

The u-11A team went through to play-offs and after winning all rounds, ended up in the finals.

After a nail-biting game the scores were tied on nine each. Six minutes extra time was given and ended on a score of 12 each.

It was down to a ‘golden goal’ (sudden death) – the first goal determining the winner.

The u-11A team played their hearts out and remained composed under the pressure mounting around the court.

They finished in second place, receiving well-deserved silver medals.

The u-13A team was knocked out in the first round.

St Dominic’s thanks the coaches for their dedication to the girls and the sport.

• For the first time this year, St Dominic’s also entered an indoor netball team into the Benoni Indoor League.

The u-11 team played in the u-12 league and came second in the league overall.

• The following girls were also selected for the Super League Team: U-12A: Jamie Bradbury, Amy Hollard, Celeste Matsoudza, Leah Meewes and Jordyn Kollia, and U-12B: Megan Dethian, Erin Wedel and Kayleigh Grange.
