Thirty-minute meals: Penne Alfredo


This delectable vegetarian take on Fettucine Alfredo will surely make you forget you have no meat on your plate tonight.

You will need:
* One packet penne.
* One cup cream.
* Half a cup butter.
* Half a cup grated Parmesan cheese.
* One cup chopped fresh parsley.
* One teaspoon salt.
* Quarter teaspoon freshly ground black pepper.
* Quarter teaspoon garlic powder.

What to do:
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for eight to 10 minutes or until al dente; then drain.
Combine cream and butter in a large, heavy saucepan over medium heat. Heat until butter melts, stirring occasionally; be careful not to bring mixture to a boil.
Stir in Parmesan cheese, parsley, salt, pepper and garlic powder.
Toss with cooked pasta and serve immediately.
